Mr. Boodie earned a Diploma in Shipbuilding/Ship repair from the NAVAL POLITECNIC in Havana, Cuba. (1979)

He worked with the Shipbuilding Industry in Guyana (Guyana National Engineering Corporation) as a senior technician for Planning and Repairs.

He graduated from the University of Guyana in Mechanical Engineering (1985) and The Kyushu Institute of Technology – Japan in Plant Maintenance Engineering Management (1987) and held the position of Maintenance Engineer and Toyota Service Manager, managing the maintenance of all Machine Tools, Heavy and Light Equipment of the company countrywide.

As the Operations Engineer in the petroleum distributive sector with the Guyana Oil Company he oversaw the design, installation and rehabilitation/maintenance of all capital works of the company`s facilities/assets ( Bulk Storage Tanks, Underground Tanks, Equipment and Company Owned Gas Stations). As a member of the Senior Management Team he was involved in the recruitment of senior personnel.

He worked in the United Nations Secretariat New York as a senior Technician in WEB Press and Digital Printing.

Peace Keeping.

With the United Nations Field Service he worked in Macedonia (Former Yugoslavia) as the Warehouse Manager with responsibilities for Inventory Control, Stocktaking, Distribution of Goods and Services for Military Observers, International Civilian Police, US and Nordic Battalions and Civilian Staff (1996 – 1999)

In Haiti he worked as Facilities Management Manager in 2010 after the devastating earthquake that rocked the country.

In addition Mr.
Boodie has held senior Technical and Managerial positions within the Oil and Gas Industry and other Allied Companies. He is now consulting and serves as a Member of the Board of WASA Alliance Inc.
